Damar Road Safety Systems
Damar Road Safety Systems is and has always been one of the cornerstones of the Damar business. Damar has a long history in the roadmarking industry in New Zealand and today is the dominant supplier of roadmarking coatings to the industry.
To maintain its dominant position in the market, DRSS is constantly looking for and developing new technologies to introduce to its portfolio. Recent technologies introduced include “Cold Applied Plastic” (CAP) and “Anti-Skid”.
As the brand already enjoys a majority of the New Zealand roadmarking market, the strategy for this brand is to maintain this position through the introduction of value-added innovative new products of the coming years.

Andrew Chemicals
Take a look in most kiwi sheds and you will most probably find a bottle of ANDREW solvent sitting on the shelf, whether it’s Meths, Turps or Kero. ANDREW is Damar’s evergreen solvents, cleaners, treatments and fuels brand. ANDREW products are sold through supermarkets, hardware stores and other retailers for the consumer market. Larger quantities (20, 60, 200 L & IBCs) are sold to distributors, on-sellers and industry.
In the consumer arena it is predominantly a painting aid/hardware brand that can be found in the paint and accessories department of most hardware stores. Damar also manufactures and brands the majority of all house brand consumer solvent products i.e. Placemakers, Resene etc.

PoolPride is a pool care brand based on a very easy-to-use 3-step system of testing, problem solving and maintenance. The products are sold through hardware stores and supermarkets and the brand has a website with a wealth of pool care information and advice on it.

Ecomist sells automatic dispensers and aerosols for insect control, odour control and fragrancing.
Ecomist Systems operates a nationwide franchise network within New Zealand and supplies Damar manufactured products to distributors in Australia, South Africa, Korea and the Philippines.

SprayWell Markers
SprayWell is an aerosol marker product designed for marking or stenciling on a number of surfaces including timber, logs, cement, grass and plastic. It comes with a variety of nozzles for different applications and there is a wide range of colours available.
Marketing efforts to date have been focused on the forestry industry, but the marker is very versatile and plans exist to introduce another SprayWell product as well as to focus marketing efforts on various other markets e.g. construction and engineering.
